Short answer: Yes, your church youth group can travel to Israel on its own private, custom tour. Mission Travel Faith Tours builds Holy Land trips for youth groups, students, and their leaders around your dates, your budget, and what you want your students to learn. Our Holy Land Discovery Group Tour (10 days) is a common starting point, and we shape it for a younger group. Call 407-377-7912 to start planning.
I have watched it happen many times. A teenager who has heard Bible stories since preschool stands on the shore of the Sea of Galilee, and something clicks. The stories stop being stories. They become history, and then they become personal. That is why I believe a Holy Land trip can be one of the most important things a youth ministry ever does.
Why take your youth group to the Holy Land
- Faith becomes real. Students walk where Jesus walked, taught, and healed. The Gospels have a map now.
- It builds lifelong memories with their church. Students come home tied more closely to their leaders, their friends, and their congregation.
- It prepares them for the questions ahead. Seeing the places, the history, and the archaeology gives young people confidence when their faith is challenged later.
- It can include serving. Many trips can add a service opportunity so students live out their faith, not just learn about it.
What a youth group itinerary can include
We build every itinerary around your group, but youth leaders often ask for:
- Nazareth, Capernaum, and a boat on the Sea of Galilee
- The Jordan River, with time for worship and reflection
- Jerusalem, including the Old City and the sites of Holy Week
- Gethsemane, where Jesus prayed on the night He was betrayed
- Time each day for devotions, worship, and group discussion, led by your own youth pastor
The pace matters with students. We plan full days, but we also plan rest, so the group stays engaged instead of worn out.
How group size and pricing work
We plan private custom Christian group tours for groups from 10 to 500 travelers, and pricing improves as your group grows. Groups of 14 or more travel as their own private tour. For every 20 paid travelers, one spot is free, and groups of 20 or more travel with one of our tour managers. Many youth pastors use free spots to bring extra chaperones or to help a student who could not otherwise go.
What is included
Every tailor-made group tour includes a one-of-a-kind itinerary designed for your group, private sightseeing, airport meet and greet, private transfers, English-speaking local guides, full breakfast daily, entrance fees and taxes, and 24/7 on-call support while you travel. That support matters to parents. They want to know someone is ready to help day or night, and we are.
A simple planning path for youth leaders
- Talk with your senior pastor and parents early. Share the purpose of the trip before you share the price.
- Pick a season. Summer and school breaks work well for students. Plan well ahead so families can save and passports can be ready.
- Set the budget together. We adjust meals and guided tours so the trip fits your group.
- Hold a parent and student interest meeting. Walk through the itinerary, the chaperone plan, and the payment schedule.
- Prepare spiritually. Read through one Gospel together before you go. Your students will see every site with new eyes.
Frequently asked questions
Can a youth group travel with adults from the church? Yes. Many churches mix students, parents, and other members on one private tour.

Do you also plan trips for Christian schools? Yes. We partner with Christian schools, universities, and homeschool groups as well as churches.
